Only Members (NOT Affiliates, Candidates, Aspirants, etc.)  who are financial at the local, regional and national levels can take TORCH I and TORCH II.

TORCH I is highly recommended for all Members of the sorority including Honorary Members. TORCH I is perfect for the member that is only interested in participating in the Formal Rush, Formal Tea or Induction Ceremony.  The certification lasts for 2 years from the date of completion and must be taken again after that to stay current.

TORCH II supersedes TORCH Level I and TORCH Level I is not a prerequisite for TORCH II. TORCH II training is required for TORCH administrators that will be conducting the Formal Rush, Formal Tea and Induction Ceremony plus Workshops and Modules. Therefore, it is highly recommended for the Anti-Basileus/Membership Chair and Advisors of Undergraduate chapters.  TORCH II certification lasts for 2 years from the date of completion and must be taken again after that to stay current

Additional Notes:

  • TORCH Level I is asynchronous while TORCH Level II is an ILT (instructor-led training) course which is live and held over Zoom and requires pre-registration; we only offer a few select training dates a year for TORCH II.

  • If a member desires to facilitate TORCH, their TORCH II certification must be current through the end of the intake session. For example, if the Formal Rush Date is 1/21/2024 and the Induction Ceremony is 3/2/2024, then the TORCH II certification end date must be after 3/2/2024. If it is scheduled to expire before 3/2/2024, the member will not be eligible to facilitate TORCH until they receive a new TORCH II certificate.
