If your chapter has received an Employer Identification Number (EIN), but is unable to locate it, try any or all of the following actions to locate the number:

  • If you have administrative access to the chapter's profile on members.sgrho1922.org, visit the About tab to locate the chapter's EIN in the information section. If the EIN is not listed there, please email the ICHQ Compliance Specialist (compliancespecialist@sgrho1922.org) for assistance.

  • Find the confirmation notice that was issued by the IRS. The confirmation notice may have been mailed to the address on file or forwarded by email from the ICHQ Compliance Specialist.
  • If you used your EIN to open a bank account, contact the bank to secure your EIN.
  • Find a previously filed Form 990. The EIN should be notated on the filing.
  • Ask the IRS to search for your EIN by calling the Business & Specialty Tax Line at 800-829-4933. The hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday. An assistor will ask you for identifying information and provide the number to you over the telephone, as long as you are a person who is authorized to receive it.
