Follow the steps below to submit an application to reactivate a chapter.


1) Interested parties must submit an application on the national website at sgrho1922.org.

2) The application is located Under the "SORORS Only" tab, go to the "Chapter Resources", and select "Chapter Charter" and scroll to the bottom and select "Next" to navigate to the Chapter Charter Application. Please note, you must click "Next" on both pages to display the Chapter Charter Application page.

3) Click the PLUS sign (+) to open the application window.

4) Select "Reactivation" from the drop-down menu in response to the New Charter or Reactivation question. Complete all required fields noted with a red asterisk (*).

5) Click SAVE & CLOSE to submit the application.






6) ICHQ will send a "Chapter Reactivation Approval Request" to receive written approval from the Regional Syntaktes.

7) If approved, the chapter will need to provide the following documentation to Madam First Grand for approval. 


Alumnae chapter:

  • Letter of intent
  • 5-year strategic plan
  • At least 1 qualifying woman
  • Description of proposed charter area (50% must have at least a bachelor's degree)
  • Documentation demonstrating that the proposed charter city (based on city center) or, if less than 30 miles, that the nearest chapter is in another state, or region.


Undergraduate chapter: 

  • Letter of intent
  • 5-year strategic plan
  • At least 1 qualifying woman (must have current enrollment at the university where the charter is being established).



Eligibility: To meet the eligibility requirements of reactivating an undergraduate or alumnae chapter, all proposed charter members must be financial for the sorority year in which the reactivation request is being submitted (and meet all TORCH requirements if applicable). 


8) Chapter pays reactivation fees.
